I’m an urban planner from California with roots from Spain, Mexico, and Argentina, and a passion for exploring how cities worldwide are ensuring that “the commons” remain accessible to all.

The commons refers to essential resources and services that should be accessible to everyone for a dignified life, including water, nature, quality housing, healthcare, education, transportation, labor conditions, public space, and community.

In a globalized world where speculation no longer respects national or municipal borders, it is increasingly important to collaborate internationally to ensure basic human rights are upheld.

The goal of The Urban Commons is to share knowledge about global systems and support those involved in ensuring the Commons stay accessible.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, and check out the programs and services section of this website for ways I can support your efforts. I often give presentations and tours on social housing, exploring how the model can be implemented in other cities.
